How We Work

We believe in meeting and assessing all pupils, before setting achievable targets and creating an "Individual Tuition Plan".

Who we support

Students with Anxiety Disorder/School Refusers

We support students who may have a range of anxiety issues which may lead them to have emotional and socialisation difficulties and/or difficulty in attending lessons/school.

Children in Care

We support children in care who may need some extra support to fill gaps in learning, or who may need support for upcoming assessments.

Pupil Premium Support

We support children who qualify for pupil premium funding, and track their progress and share it with school.

S.E.N.D. students, including those with A.S.D.

Our experience in working with students with S.E.N.D. allows us to provide experienced professionals to help with students who may have barriers to learning.

Tracking progress

As carers and educators, you want to see your students progress and achieve.

When paying for a service, we realise that you need to see value-for-money.

We are acutely aware of this, so we have developed an online system where the interventions and their impact are tracked and are accessible at any time. When you first refer to our service, you are given login details to the 'Client Space' of our website, as well as login details to our online Progress Tracker.

All of the information is held securely and anonymised according to our safeguarding procedures.

Safeguarding underpins all that we do.

Everything that we do is started with the question: "Is this safe for the students? the staff? the school? the family?"

Our dedication to making things as safe as possible is unequivocal. The safety of everyone involved remains the top priority, and we always endeavour to make sure that our procedures and practice is professional, current and safe.

Our Tutors and Mentors

All of our tutors and mentors are of the highest standard, with training and communication a priority. This includes:

  • All tutors and mentors have a current Enhanced DBS Certificate
  • Personal interview followed by checking with two professional references
  • All tutors are experienced teachers with Q.T.S.
  • All tutors and mentors attend mandatory safeguarding training
  • Sessions are recorded and shared
  • Regular Tutor/Mentor updates to ensure concerns and information is shared and discussed

Communication of progress and in case of need occur often. To make our processes as safe as possible we:

  • store all sensitive information digitally via password and separately to this with which we communicate progress
  • do not carry details of clients/students on memory sticks/paper documents unless thoroughly anonymised
  • ensure that all of our tutors are informed of necessary details of student with whom they work through clear risk assessments and discussion prior to support
  • understand our thorough CP policies and the channels to go through to express any concerns
